Meet the artist

Hi, my name is Ewald Calitz. After suffering from burnout for several years, and with the added strain of the Covid pandemic, my ministry of 25 years came to an end in November 2020. I needed something that would bring healing to my spirit. When I bought a beginner’s watercolor set and started painting in April of 2022, I not only learned an amazing new skill, I also found therapy for my soul. And at the end of 2025 the combination of art and searching for answers on difficult life questions, led to a process of finding meaning in the mundane.
