I found the reference photo for this painting on Unsplash and just absolutely loved the feeling. There is a quiet peacefulness in the eye of this leopard. An indescribable feeling of rest flows through your soul while you look into it. That is what I wanted to capture when I painted it. I know that this is a fierce animal and that this moment might only be the calm before the storm, but still...
